As a Junior Drupal developer at Tanasuk, there are some issues that take me a bit to figure out (but that’s all part of the fun isn’t it?)
Organic Groups” is a pretty big module in Drupal that allows users to create groups, like the ones in Facebook, where they can post and discuss various matters.
Having moved from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, I have come across a great amount of changes in Organic Groups management and how it works.
The “invite users to group”, for instance, was one of the things I had to look for, since it was ready out-of-the-box in Drupal 6. But now in Drupal 7, you have to do the following:
1. Subscribe to a group that you have.
2. After subscribing and gaining permission, you should see two new tabs entitled "Group" and "Track."
3. Click on the "Group" tab.
4. You should now see list of options for that group like "add people", "people", "roles" and permissions.
Of course in our case, we want "add people". This page works exactly like the one in the Drupal 6 initiation. The URL of this should be something like: "http://yoursite.com/group/node/node->uid/admin/people/add-user"
You may want to add a hook to the group page to facilitate ease of adding new people to your group.
Now, onto the next challenge!
